Refund policy

At Avanti Electrical we pride ourselves in providing each and every customer with exceptional levels of customer service, which extends to our returns policy. We endeavour to make every effort to fulfil valid requests for returns and will refund authorised returns as promptly as possible. 

Disclaimer: Please do not return any stock to us without first contacting us to discuss the return of your unwanted items. No returned goods will be accepted without our previous authorisation. 

Returns Process

Should you wish to return any unwanted orders, please contact us with the following details:  
  • Your contact details (name, address, email and telephone number), 
  • What you would like to return, 
  • Your date of purchase, 
  • An acceptable reason for return,
  • Avanti Electrical’s order/invoice number if possible. 

All returns are processed on Fridays or Mondays. Returned parcels should be sent on a trackable service, so the customer has proof of delivery should we need a copy to process a refund in the case of a missing parcel etc. 

We will make every effort to accommodate reasonable return requests and will promptly issue any refunds you are entitled to. 

Our customers are entitled to a 15-day cancellation right. Therefore, any incorrectly ordered or unwanted items can be returned to us for a full refund. You must notify Avanti Electrical of your intention to return the goods within 15 days of receiving your delivery. After notifying us, you have an additional 15 days to return the products. It is the responsibility of the customer to return any incorrectly ordered items. Avanti Electrical will take no responsibility for the collection of the goods. The goods must be unused and suitable for resale. This right excludes any specially supplied items that are not normally kept in stock.

Cancellations

Should the customer wish to cancel the order prior to dispatch, payment shall be refunded in full within 14 days.

Please note: 

It is at the discretion of Avanti Electrical whether a credit or replacement should be issued. 

We cannot accept returns on made to order or specially supplied goods.

Avanti Electrical will operate within the Distance Selling Regulations 2016/2017. Customers have the right to cancel their order up to 14 days after the day they receive delivery of their goods, providing they do so in writing to Avanti Electrical. The purchaser has a statutory duty to maintain the goods in good condition during the 14-day cancellation period and to return the goods to Avanti Electrical. The customer will bear all costs associated with returning the goods. If Avanti Electrical collects the goods, the associated costs will be charged to the customer. 

Damaged Goods

If you receive damaged goods, please provide a photo/photos of the damage as proof. Upon receiving the photo/photos of the damaged goods, we will either send replacements or issue a refund. Please email the photo(s) to: sales@avanti-lighting.co.uk 

The customer should inspect the products upon receipt and notify Avanti Electrical within 30 days if they deem the goods be faulty or damaged. If the customer does not inform Avanti Electrical within 30 days of delivery about any broken or faulty goods, it will be assumed that the goods have been accepted. We cannot accept any claims for faulty or broken goods more than 30 days after delivery. 

Should the products be faulty or damaged, Avanti Electrical shall take responsibility for recovery of the goods from the customer within 30 days of delivery if the goods need to be returned. The customer will also be entitled to a full refund if the goods are deemed to be faulty/damaged by Avanti Electrical. 

Avanti Electrical may choose to refund any damages rather than issuing replacements if sending replacements is not feasible. We will endeavour to offer replacements in most situations. 

Items Damaged in Return Transit

If you choose to return goods using your own courier service, please ensure all items are securely and appropriately packaged. We are not liable for any damage that occurs during return transit.

If returned items arrive damaged, we will be unable to offer a refund. In such cases, you will need to pursue a compensation claim directly with your chosen courier.

We will provide photographic evidence of any damage observed upon receipt to support your claim with the courier. Once we have contacted you to inform you of the damage, the items will be held for 48 hours and then disposed of, unless otherwise agreed.
